Linda Hasker sent the following pirctures and comments...............Well done to Linda & Poppy, fabulous to see Skye's doing agility!

"Well I have 2 Skyes Poppy,2.5 years,and Mop,2years,and they both do agility.
When I first took them to training, which was about a year ago,my trainer said they wouldn't amount to much but in our first year of competeing they have  achieved many clears a few 4ths and even a couple of seconds. So the trainer has had to eat her words several times!!!!!!
Every time I go to a show I get asked 'what are they?' and 'they can't possily do agility'.Well they can and they love it,and to promote the breed furthur they are impeccably well behaved and they talk to everyone"

The Skye Terrier Club ‘Of the Year’ Results are only awarded to dogs owned by STC Members, even if its breeder is a member, and are calculated from January - December. Points can only be won at a championship show which has challenge certificates for the breed, plus the STC open show, and no points are awarded for a group win. Points are calculated from the date the owner becomes a member until the date they cease their membership. Only points won in minor puppy and puppy classes count towards Puppy of the Year. If a veteran is shown in a class other than veteran i.e. open, then the points awarded are doubled, this also applies to awards such as BOB, CC and RCC.

Scale of points is as follows:

Best of Breed         12
Dog/Bitch CC        12
Reserve CC             6
Best Puppy              6
First in Class            8
Second in Class       4
Third in Class          2

Kelly goes to school...................

Moira and one of her Skye's Kelly were invited to visit the children of Dalgety Bay Primary School, class 2.  Moira dressed in her Victorian outfit that she had worn for the Bobby parade.  They had a wonderful time and the children were absolutely thrilled with Kelly.  The story was covered by the local press.  A wonderful PR job by Moira and Kelly.  The children have been learning all about Bobby and have visited the kirkyard.
The parents and children also made a very generous donation to Skye Terrier Rescue.  A BIG thank you to them all.

The parents of the children kindly gave us permission to print the letters and photographs.

Below are some of the letters written by the children.  They have been copied exactly as the children wrote them .............
