It is Skye Terrier Club policy that a period of two years should elapse between C.C. judging appointments, failure to comply with this policy will lead to your name being removed from the list.

for persons who fulfil the requirements of the A3 list and who have been assessed in accordance with Kennel Club requirements and accepted by the Kennel Club for inclusion on the A2 list and have the support of the Skye Terrier Club.

A3 List.................

SPECIALISTS................Minimum of 7 years judging experience in the breed and have the support of the Skye Terrier Club.  To have bred and/or owned a minimum of 3 Skye Terriers when they obtained their 1st. entry in the Kennel Club Stud Book (Except in exceptional circumstances). To have judged a minimum of 20 breed classes with 40 dogs present with a wide geographical spread, been in the breed for a continuous period of 10 years and on the B list for 7 years.

ALL - ROUNDERS...............Minimum of 7 years judging experience in any one breed (to include 5 years in this breed) and have the support of the Skye Terrier Club. To have awarded C.C.’s in at least one other breed. To have judged a minimum of 35 breed classes with 70 dogs present.

MANDATORY requirements as stated by the Kennel Club.

To have stewarded at a minimum of 12 shows.

To have attended a Kennel Club Accredited Trainers Seminar on Regulations and Procedures and passed the Kennel Club examination on the subject.

To have attended a Confirmation & Movement “Hands-on Assessment” conducted by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and passed the assessment.

“To have attended at least one breed specific seminar run in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practise and passed a “Hands-on Assessment” examination.”

To be eligible for the Club Show ballot................Having been in the breed for a continuous period of 10 years, on B list for 5 years and judged 20 classes and 60 dogs.  Consideration should also be given to those Breed Specialists, who are on the B list and have judged a Championship show without tickets.
