Skye Terrier Club Open Show (2015) Results

Judge: Karl-Ake Antonson (Silverprint)

The Skye Terrier Club held its open show at Mappleborough Village Hall which provided an excellent venue.

Firstly, I would like to thank the club, all officers and exhibitors for making this a lovely day and to the latter for bringing all their dogs, making an entry of 43 Skyes. I would also like to thank my two excellent ring stewards, Anne Ankcorn and Allan Stephenson for their work.

I found the overall quality to be very good, most dogs – with this I mean both males and bitches – were of good construction and all exhibits without exception had lovely temperaments and correct mouths. When I started showing and breeding in the mid 70’s front construction were a big issue with a lot of elbows turning out, bad tail set and carriage and one or two were quite difficult to deal with also. No doubt have breeders paid a lot of attention to those issues and we can today see the result of those efforts which is very pleasing.
